Well, I have officially entered the Web2.0 and am quickly realizing its tremendous educational potential. I am a teacher who has become a student in order to be a better teacher for my students(it makes sense to me). I want to prepare them (my sixth graders) to be successful in a "Flat World" and teach them skills they can use to compete in a global economy they will face one day. I have created this Blog because I believe if I want my students to embrace new technology and educational opportunities I need to lead by example. This Blog will of course be blocked by the server at my school so my students will only be able to view it from home, but at least it is a start.
I love discussing educational trends, reasearch, new tech, and new ways to use old tech in education. So, I find myself learning from my peers, usually not at my school, a few inspirational professors like Britt Watwood from VCU, and YOU the general public. Let the learning begin!!
